From Lightning Talks to Busking 3.0
For more than a decade, The Art Party has been at the forefront of Vancouver’s creative–tech convergence, producing events that make emerging technology feel human, accessible, and culturally alive. From the early days of CoinFest 2014, where artists and Bitcoin enthusiasts traded ideas in a grassroots art‑tech marketplace—to a growing series of Blockchain Lightning Talks that demystified complex concepts through rapid-fire community knowledge-sharing, each gathering has pushed the boundaries of what decentralized culture can look like.
Along the way, The Art Party has showcased NFT creators at Segev, explored the future of live music performance at DCTRL with Busking 3.0, and rallied support for local venues in Gastown through blockchain-powered micro‑patronage. Together, these events chart a living history of experimentation, mass adoption, and creative resilience across Vancouver’s evolving blockchain ecosystem.
The Art Party has been producing crypto and blockchain events since CoinFest 2014. We now have access to 312 Main — a cultural hub in the DTES with two event spaces (120‑cap and 250‑cap). We can co-host a public‑facing crypto adoption event, combining presentations, networking, and live music with Busking 3.0.

Bitcoin 101 with Busking 3.0 Launch 2026
The Art Party is launching a Bitcoin 101 Course on Socratic Learn, an AI agent tutorial designed to support the scaling of Busking 3.0 with open-access education. This interactive and voice-enabled course is accessible online 24/7 to accelerate the public adoption of Bitcoin and Lightning payments.
Users can text or speak to the AI agent in real-time to learn about Bitcoin and Lightning, onboard to wallets, and set up QR codes for instant payments. Foundational crypto materials, including the Bitcoin Whitepaper and Ethereum Whitepaper, have already been uploaded. We plan to add Lightning and Layer 2 content, and all materials will be reviewed in collaboration with the founder of Socratic Learn, who is also a blockchain developer with experience in open-source projects.
Stay tuned for our launch with DCTRL, a hackerspace community taking place in a DTES event space that accommodates over 100 people this spring 2026.
Bitcoin & Crypto Meetups in Vancouver
The Art Party will promote the Meetups to 3,100+ Facebook Group members, 1700+ Facebook fans, and 800+ Instagram followers, most of whom are based in Vancouver. We will also post the events on Bitcoin and crypto Meetup groups in Vancouver:
- Vancouver Bitcoiners: We host a monthly Bitdevs (Bitcoin Developers) seminar as well as a Noderunners workshop.
- Bitcoin Privilege: Discover how to spend or exchange Bitcoin at 80 local stores today in Vancouver.
- BTC Van: Vancouver community for anyone passionate or curious about Bitcoin.
- Bitcoin & Beers: Since 2017, our gatherings have been a fusion of fun, beer, and enlightening crypto-discussions.
- TSA Bitcoin: TSA Bitcoin Shop for cryptocurrency, NFTs, and forex trading education and opportunities.
- Ethereum Vancouver: A Meetup about Ethereum, the dapps that are built on it, or other Ethereum-based technologies.
