Keynote Speaker, Hussein Hallak of Next Decentrum (Blockchain Education) & Momentable (NFT Marketplace): 

Hussein Hallak is the Founder and CEO from Next Decentrum, the launchpad for the world’s most iconic NFT products on Momentable. Hussein is also the Creative Director of Crypto Pharaohs, a collection of 7006 majestic collectibles inspired by the rich history of ancient Egypt. In 2006, he launched CreativeArab, the world’s first and largest marketplace for Middle Eastern art focused on connecting artists across the Arab world with a global audience (acquired). Then he launched The Content People in 2010, an award-winning content marketing agency with clients that included Virgin Mobile, Pfizer, and Starbucks.

In 2016, he joined Launch as General Manager. Launch is one of North America’s top tech hubs and startup incubators, helping over 6500+ founders and 500+ startups raise over $1 billion. In 2019, he joined 3 Tier Logic as VP of Products & Strategy, working with some of the world’s most valuable brands including Universal Studios, P&G, and Kimberly Clark.

Hussein writes and speakers about startups, blockchain, and NFTs, and advises several blockchain and tech startups including Ami Pro, Gigr, Mobile Art School, Fintrux, Majik Bus, Traction Health, Cloud Nine, and Peace Geeks. He’s recognized in 2019 as one of 30 Vancouver tech thought-leaders and influencers to follow and featured in Forbes, BBC, BetaKit, Entrepreneur, DailyHive, Notable, and CBC.

The Art Party is a nonprofit artist collective for the NFT art show projections:

USER is a sound creator from Vancouver, Canada who has been releasing albums independently since the 90s. He is now also producing NFT art and NFT music, along with live streams. USER’s latest album is “Army of Peace” with 8 songs turned into NFTs with collaborating visual artists at The Art Party and Avanade. USER is the singer-songwriter for the “Army of Peace”, a world beat band with a message, “We make music, not war”.

Liza J. Lee is an East Van artist with a BA in English from UBC. With her sharp skills in social media, Liza is acknowledged by well-known gallery dealer Diane Farris as a pioneer of social networking in the arts (“Twitter/Art+Social Media” exhibition 2010). Liza’s vision is to facilitate art as a means for social change through crypto, starting with the Virtual Vancouver Metaverse in 2013 and the Bitcoin Art Show at Coinfest 2014. Liza is the marketing advisor for The Art Party, with 20 years of experience in financial services and technology, including Avanade.

Bob Garlick has over 30 years of experience working with magazine editors, agencies and writers. He has the background to develop and produce editorial style photographs that no other photographer can offer. Bob has been shooting all over the world for many years. He is now an expert on almost any format of camera and lighting system and continues to perfect his techniques even today. Bob is also an NFT artist.

Joy Case is an NFT artist with moving images. She is the Co-Founder of EvaWorld.io, a metaverse featuring companies that utilize new world technologies such as AI, XR, MR, VR, AR, and highlighting crypto and gaming communities. EVAWorld.io is a membership-based application bridging the physical and digital worlds in a campus setting to host NFT auctions and NFT galleries. You can find her JoyFul NFTs on Instagram.

Victoria Ross is an Experience Design intern at Avanade. She is completing her 4th year of Fine Arts and Business at the University of Waterloo (UW). She has chosen to focus on studies in digital design through both community engagement in clubs on campus, as well as through various co-op placements. She has a great interest in interaction and UX design, and is excited to develop these skills.

Sophia Wang is an UX Design intern at Avanade. She is studying Business Marketing and Interaction Design at Simon Fraser University. She is graduating in April 2023 and will look for Product Design opportunities in New York, San Fransisco or Toronto. Other than UX/UI, she is passionate about user research, quantitive / qualitative data and enterprise solutions. She enjoys working in a collaborative environment where she is challenged.
