About Earth Charter

The Art Party is an endorser of Earth Charter, a visionary document that outlines sixteen principles for building a more just, sustainable, and peaceful global society. Developed through a decade-long international consultation process, it emphasizes respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice, and a culture of peace. Its four pillars—Respect and Care for the Community of Life, Ecological Integrity, Social and Economic Justice, and Democracy, Nonviolence, and Peace—serve as a moral compass for individuals, organizations, and governments seeking to foster global interdependence and shared responsibility.

Support for the Earth Charter spans across continents and sectors. As of now, it has received over 50,000 endorsements from individuals and organizations in more than 90 countries. These include major institutions like UNESCO, over 250 universities, religious groups such as Soka Gakkai International and the Unitarian Universalist Association, and cities like Berkeley, California and Pickering, Canada. The Earth Charter International continues to expand its reach through education programs, youth initiatives, and partnerships that turn its ethical vision into tangible action.
